The Tutti microphone and instrument preamplifier is designed and produced in collaboration with Wolff Audio and Sunset Sound Recorders, Hollywood. The product is made in tribute to Tutti Camarata, an audio innovator and the founder of Sunset Sound. Tutti, along with his internal engineering staff, created the original preamp that was installed into the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console and used to record thousands of tracks in legendary sessions.
Paul Wolff along with Tutti’s son Paul Camarata, have painstakingly developed this 500 series version of the renowned and now classic preamp. Attention to detail was a top priority, so naturally, Cinemag transformer designer David Geren who produced the original transformers, was utilized to make today’s version.
The Tutti is elegant yet simple. Well-engineered by people who know what it takes to capture exceptional tracks for legendary performances. Built with top quality components to add warmth and precision that will be a welcome addition to any session.

The Tutti wasn't designed as a product. It was a circuit built in-house at Sunset Sound in 1978, first installed in the Studio 3 console and never meant to leave the building. For decades it lived only in the rooms, on records by Prince, the Rolling Stones, and countless others. Engineers kept asking to buy one. The answer was always no.
That changed through a friendship. Paul Wolff had built EQs for Sunset Sound years earlier, around the same transformers and John Hardy 990 op-amps the pre relied on. So when a way to package it finally surfaced around 2010, Paul Camarata's instinct was simple: talk to my friend Paul. Wolff brought it to build, and the two named it the Tutti, an homage to Camarata's father, who started it all.
The mandate was fidelity, not nostalgia: same op-amps, same transformers, same circuit, same sound as the units still bolted into the consoles at Sunset Sound. The mic pre that recorded a good chunk of music history, finally in a box you can put in your own rack.
